Barbara J. Hancock

                ~writing heat with heart~

"There is a compelling dark urban fantasy tinge to the story that I really like..." and the notorious Mrs. G gave HUNGER an 84!

"What an impeccably narrated story, and from the moment you open the book, until the very ending, you will be amazed at how Ms. Hancock spins characters that grip the heart with true realism and feelings. This reviewer was taken, tossed, and controlled by this author.

"When an author can take a mundane werewolf story and turn it into something so riveting and sexually intense like Ms. Hancock did, that is true writing talent not seen often enough"

"A remarkable werewolf/paranormal tale you do not want to miss!"

Janalee Ruschhaupt at ParaNormalRomance.org reviewed CAPTURED, a Loose Id erotic romance.

ENEMY MINE was a magnificent story of determination. From the start, I knew what Julia’s goal was and one way or another, she was determined to see it through regardless of her feelings. She had a tough exterior and refused to back down from any fight. Likewise, as a natural born leader, Ross was equally strong-minded and firm about protecting what was rightfully his, and that was Julia, whether she wanted to admit it or not. ENEMY MINE was filled with fast-paced adventure, intrigue, imagination, super-hot romance and a surprising plot twister that threw me and Julia for a loop. The sex scenes were scorching and lustful in nature, together with a thrilling, suspenseful plot, ENEMY MINE proved to be an enjoyable read. ~Romance Junkies

What reviewers are saying about Barbara's books...

"And Tess and Colin’s HEA was one I could buy — Colin helps her find the confidence to move on while Tess helps with his loneliness.  These are two people who complete each other and even with things like psychics and werewolves and government conspiracies, that’s what romance is all about."

... Jia at Dear Author reviewed the Nocturne Bites "Wilderness"

"My only regret was that the story had to end. This one is going in my keeper file to be read again."  Maura at Coffee Time Romance reviewed HUNGER, a vampire romance with Samhain Publishing.

Captured is a vivid, rich tale of disaster and hope that exercises the imagination and pushes the boundaries. Change is inevitable and never as simple as right and wrong. Human perseverance (particularly by those who are no longer quite human) is the key to not only recovery from tragedy but also the foundation for building a new world. Remorse is replaced by redemption and despair by hope. The erotic scenes are as much about healing and sanctuary as they are about overwhelming passion. Captured is an insightful commentary on that which divides us and that which holds us together. And it’s a passionate, uplifting good read!
